You can work with more than one Google account (for example, wattersinternational.com and personal gmail.com accounts) in Chrome without having to sign in and out, or use incognito windows. This prevents Chrome from overlapping user account data erroneously when you are attempting to use different google accounts within the same Chrome window.
You can have a window open for each respective separate account.
- At the top right of your screen next to the three dots, click on the circle with your initial/profile picture and a drop down menu should appear.
- Scroll down to Manage People, from there you click “Add Person” at the bottom right.
- You do not have have to select a display user icon or you can if you want.
- Check the box beside Create a desktop shortcut for this user for the option of launching directly into the user's browsing session at any time.
- You will be prompted to sign in to your Already a Chrome User Google account in the new profile - this lets you sync your bookmarks, web history, and settings from computer to computer in Chrome. Signing into Chrome will also sign you into your Gmail, but if you would rather not sync, you can skip this step and simply visit gmail.com to log in, checking the "keep me signed in" option. I recommend linking the data to have all of it sync.
- You should now see a Chrome desktop icon that shows the name that is specific to the Chrome profile (most likely a business google account) you just added which will open a distinct Chrome window when you click it that only has the information synced for that google account and will not get mixed up with you personal google account.
